What a mighty God we serve! Camp was such a blessing. We saw close to 50% of the campers got saved this week.
Jesus says in Acts 1:8 ESV; “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” It is such a blessing to know that these young men, and women will be out living the life that God intended for them to have.
I love the thought of that, to have all of these new, excited Christians going out to share God’s holy word with the world, all the way to the ends of the Earth.
I have to say my favorite part about God’s love, is that he knows we aren’t perfect (we don’t come close) but he choses to love us anyway. It surprised me to learn all of these kids stories this week. Abuse was so rampant among these children, and I couldn’t help but to think that God brought them through all of that for a reason. That reason was to find his great and mighty love this week.
I wish it was possible to explain the feeling of showing someone who Christ is, and seeing them change their lives for him. I don’t think anything will really compare. Luke 15:7 “I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over 99 righteous persons who do not need to repent” I just picture God and the Angles rejoicing over all of the salvations from this week. I made God happy this week, I did what God wanted me to do, I did what God brought me 4000 miles away from home to do. There is nothing greater. There are none greater than him.
Early in the week I noticed 3 male campers that stood out to me. I was quick to judge them, and that is a sin. They seemed to me to be like the type to mock God, when in reality that is not what God had in mind. By the end of the week all 3 of these young men were saved. I cannot wait to see the good they do in life.
I have never felt closer to God than what I felt this week, to see all these youth praising in worship, or to see them really dig into the message that was spoken, and take notes on what was said. I know that with God, anyone can be saved. That is what it’s all about! The great commission!
I am so blessed to be here. I will never forget what happened here in Alaska, or all the lives that were changed, or all of the wonderful people I met. I am blessed beyond words! Philippians 4:4!
