As a few of you know I’ve been working closely with Chris Lee on a project entitled “The Return” . For those that don’t know, Chris is a Forward for the East Central University Men’s Basketball team. Chris went down with a season ending ankle injury early in the 2012- 2013 season. I followed Chris on part of his return to the court. What I found was inspiration. I saw in Chris an unreal determination to succeed. Chris is the type of guy who never slows down, always doing something. His determination to get back on the court was one that really rubs off on people.
When we started filming the project I don’t think any of us knew exactly how it was gonna turn out. People that don’t know Chris don’t know just how full of comedy, and carisma the guy is. We began filming part 2 of the return in the East Central Weight room not knowing what to expect. He could easily just fake all the workouts for film, and no one would ever really know, but to our surprise he worked hard. We took our cameras to the gym a few days later to catch him working with Caprest Rhone, and again I was blown away with just how hard he was working.
Overall, it was one of the most inspiring projects I’ve ever been a part of. Please share the video with your friends, and family. I believe this could be the start of a great movement.
